All donations go towards programs and services that engage local teens in volunteer activities that provide aid for homeless children in Lake County, IL.   

We are always in need of arts and craft supplies and cake mixes for activities at the shelters.

If you are interested in becoming a Teen-Aider, please contact mreiff@teen-aiders.org.

ADULT MENTORS

 To become an Adult Mentor you can follow this easy process:

1. Apply.  Complete the attached Adult Mentor application packet and e-mail it back to mreiff@teen-aiders.org or fax to (800) 655-1319.
2. Interview.   We will schedule an in-person interview to get to know you and your interests.
3. Background Check.  Ensuring child safety is our priority and critical to our program's success. We will review your background to ensure that you will be a good match for Teen-Aiders.
4. References.  We will need contact information for at least two references that we can talk to about your ability to be a mentor and work with children.
5. Activity Assignment.  We will review your interests and discuss with you different ways in which you can get involved in the program.  Depending on the time of year, our volunteer needs may vary.

INVOLVE YOUR SCHOOL OR ORGANIZATION

Teen-Aiders can foster a student's involvement in many charitable organizations in the community. We will partner schools/organizations with community service programs to facilitate the students involvement in the community. We will help manage the service hours and provide students a fun and educational way of obtaining community service credit hours.
